NCAA Football 12 Preview
Ah, yes. It is almost that time for EA Sports to start releasing the first installment of many top-selling sports games on consoles and PC's. Before the beloved Madden and NHL hits store shelves, college football fans rejoice for NCAA Football 12. Being a sports junkie, I've gotten every game since I can remember and overall I think they are solid games. I predict this game to be one of the best, if not, the best installment to date in the franchise. Take a look below for some insight on NCAA Football 12.

Level 2 Demo Review - Last Chance to Reason
Level 2 is a indie game made to be an interactive album for the band Last Chance to Reason. The demo is amazing and is definately worth a download for any metal loving gamer, actually just about anyone.

StarFront Collision Preview
Gameloft really stole some notes from Starcraft when it designed StarFront Collision for the iPhone and iPad device market. And when I say notes, I mean the whole, damn, thing. From all the trailers I have seen of the game, it appears they just heard that Blizzard was not going to release a version of Starcraft for the mobile market and thought, "Well, we can." Just look at the storyline of the game when compared with Starcraft:
Starcraft
- Humans who seek to mine a planet who are heavily armored with mechanized suits.
- "Evil" insect-like aliens fighting the human miners.
- Highly intelligent alien race that is fighting both the insect aliens and the humans.
StarFront Collision
Primal Carnage Entering into Alpha Stages
A great game coming into the alpha game development stage quickly is Primal Carnage. It is a very unique multi-player FPS that I have been keeping an eye on for quite some time and the released pre-alpha gameplay footage is amazing. The reason Primal Carnage is so unique can be summed up in the following:
- Every class can trump another specific class on the other team in a rock paper scissors fashion.
- The human team plays in the first person perspective, while the dinosaurs play in the third person perspective.
- All game types are tailored so that players MUST work together to survive, or overcome the opposing team.
- Primal Carnage is one of the few games based around Dinosaurs.
- Team focused online game-play.
- Long term support with DLC.
- Arcade style fun that’s simple and easy to pick up and play at any time.
Top Spin 4
The developers at 2kSports are bringing tennis back to the console with the upcoming title Top Spin 4. The game is set to release March 15, 2011, and so far the buzz on the game from fans of the series is high. Even though I have played most of the Top Spin series, I hope Top Spin 4 can finally beat Virtua Tennis 2k2 for the Dreamcast as my best tennis game. That being said, the trailer shows amazing graphics and details along with a popular roster of current and past tennis players. I just hope the game-play does not feel to artificial with 2kSports emphasis on "Signature Stye" of the players. What makes a great tennis game is the smooth game-play and feel of the game.
First Look: MLB The Show 11
What's up guys, this is Frost, I've been a long time friend of Slammerama and I'll be posting periodically and adding content. So, that's the intro, now onto the game!
Take a look at the first preview of MLB The Show 11 for the Playstation 3. This is by far one of the best sports games on the market today and ESPN had a chance to check out the game and what it has to offer. Below, I will outline the highlights of the preview if you don't feel like reading all of it.

NHL 11 Preview
Well, now that the demo is out and we finally get to see the new NHL game by EA Sports called NHL 11, I don't know what to think anymore. Honestly, the demo is nice and all. It appears EA put a lot of effort into the appearance of the game, be it the flashing lights and entrance of the teams, all they way to the new Hockey Ultimate Team that makes me remember how retarded I was when I was a kid and collected hockey cards thinking they would be worth money one day. There are some things I like, and many things that are lurking beneath the surface that I must bring out because I believe many gamers will miss the bad points because it seems so new and awesome. Its like a new car, you get it at first and its got that great smell, you brag to your friends and think no one can beat your car. Then a month later, your radiator leaks, the passenger side window doesn't work, and someone keyed the driver-side door.

Crackdown 2
I really enjoyed the original Crackdown when it was released. Sandbox games are one of my favorite styles of gameplay, especially when it comes to wasting time. The sequel doesn't look like it is going to disappoint in this regard. The new gliding ability has great potential, and the addition of a helicopter later in the game should open up the world even more which will help in gaining altitude in the very vertical world that is Pacific City.
Lego Universe
Currently in development by the LEGO Group, the same people who produced such title as Lego Indiana Jones and Lego Star Wars, comes a whole new Lego experience, Lego Universe. It is a massively multiplayer online game(MMOG), examples of previous MMOG would be World of Warcraft and Star Trek Online. The LEGO Group wants players of Lego Universe to experience "the fun, creativity and quality of a LEGO product in an awe-inspiring virtual environment."
When you think of Legos, most people think kid toys and building blocks. But with the recent console and pc games featuring Lego characters people of all ages are rediscovering the joy of Legos as a new way of storytelling and bringing entertainment to a different level, almost of parody status. With Lego Universe, the bounds of using plots based soly upon movies or books will change as they seek to revolutionize the MMOG market. Many features of the games show the depth of imagination players will be able to use to play the game and make a unique experience for every player.
